About

RheEnergise has developed a novel pumped energy storage system that uses a high-density fluid (2.5x denser than water) stored in underground tanks on hillsides. This allows energy storage on gentle slopes where conventional pumped hydro is not feasible.

History & Background

Founded in 2017, RheEnergise has developed its High-Density Hydro™ system as an alternative to conventional pumped hydro that doesn't require mountains or large reservoirs. The company has secured funding and is developing its first commercial projects.
